The Food and Civil Supplies department has decided to raise the paddy procurement ceiling this season in view of the demand raised by paddy farmers. According to Food and Civil Supplies Minister G.R. Anil, the maximum quantity of paddy that can be procured from each acre has been raised from 2,200 kg to 2,500 kg. The order has been issued in this regard.
