Entering the fray:Tribal leader C.K. Janu filing nomination papers as an Independent candidate before C.M. Gopinathan, Deputy Collector and Returning Officer, at Sulthan Bathery on Thursday.

Nine more candidates filed nomination papers in Wayanad district on Thursday.

Tribal leader C.K. Janu filed papers in Sulthan Bathery as an independent candidate.

Velayudhan Nair, CPI(M), K.A. Ayub, SDPI, Latheef, Independent, V.K. Binu, Welfare Party, and N.M. Sandhya, Trinamool Congress, submitted papers in Kalpetta.

Vijayan, CPI(ML) Red Star, and P.N. Soman, SDPI, filed papers in Mananthavadi.
