Musical event today

Mohana Sangeetha Ratri, a music event organised by Stage Pragathi, a collective of artists in the district, will be held at the Vythiri Village Resort Auditorium at Vythiri at 6.30 p.m. on Sunday.

Stage Pragathi executive trustee Ranjini Menon told a press conference here on Saturday that the programme would be a chance for art connoisseurs to enjoy Kabeer Bhajan, Baul, and Sufi music.

There would be a Mohan Veena recital by Poly Varghese. Sarita Mc Harg and Rahul Pop Halli would accompany on the Sitar and the Tabla respectively. A team of musicians from Ujjain would also perform on the occasion, she said. The artists would interact with music students after the concert, Ms. Menon said.
