He said projects such as Subala Park would be transformed into a major revenue source for Scheduled Castes families associated with it. The park was the first of its kind initiated by the department, he said.

The Minister said such projects should become a destination for making it beneficial to the local people. Such kind of tourism projects had been successfully experimented in Alappuzha, Wayanad, and Kumarakom, he said.

K. Sivadasan Nair, MLA, presided over the meeting. He urged the Minister to take steps to replace the old hall at the park with a Koothambalam-model auditorium.
