LDF workers clash with police

LDF workers on Wednesday clashed with the police in front of the Chalakudy municipality office on Wednesday.

Arguments started when the police tried to stop the LDF workers, who reached to express solidarity with municipal Opposition leader P.M. Sreedharan who has been on a hunger strike in protest against the municipality’s decision to build a town hall using the Plan fund.

Shifted to hospital

Meanwhile, the police arrested Mr. Sreedharan and shifted him to a hospital after his health condition deteriorated.
