KSU activists burn NSS general secretary G. Sukumaran Nair in effigy in Malappuram on Thursday. Special arrangement

Activists of the Kerala Students Union (KSU) burnt Nair Service Society (NSS) general secretary G. Sukumaran Nair in effigy here on Thursday in protest against his comments on Chief Minister Oommen Chandy and Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) president Ramesh Chennithala.

They took out a protest march through Malappuram town. Mr. Nair should stop issuing ‘immature statements,’ they said.

The NSS general secretary was trying to destroy communal harmony. The secular mind of the State will disprove his notions and give him a fitting reply, they said.
