The Kerala government has dismissed a contract employee of the Chief Minister’s 24x7 call centre, K. P. Gireesh Kumar, from service for talking to a complainant in an indecent manner.

An official release said here on Friday that the employee had been kept away from the call centre job on receipt of complaint from a woman, pending departmental enquiry. The Secretary (General Administration), who enquired into the incident, submitted his report to the Chief Minister on June 18, and an order for removing the employee from service was issued on June 19. A police investigation had also been ordered.

The release said that Mr. Gireesh Kumar was not a member of Chief Minister’s personal staff.
