Jiju Janardanan, alleged bookie and friend of the cricketer S. Sreesanth, who is out on bail after arrest in the IPL spot-fixing scandal, on Monday, claimed innocence, saying that he had not done anything wrong.

“I have faith in the judiciary and will prove my innocence before the court and the people,” Jiju, who has come to his house here after obtaining bail, told presspersons.

“My family and I know how I had spent 27 days in jail,” he said.

Sreesanth, arrested along with two other Rajasthan Royal teammates on charges of spot-fixing, was also released from Tihar jail on June 11 on bail.
