The police team investigating the actor abduction and assault case had to put off the interrogation of actor Nadirshah on medical grounds here on Friday morning.
The actor-turned-director had turned up for questioning at the Aluva Police Club around 9.30 a.m. in compliance with a court directive. But when the investigating officers were about to begin the interrogation, Mr. Nadirshah complained of physical discomfort.
Following this, a medical team was summoned to the police club and they found that the actor’s blood pressure level had shot up and blood sugar readings had dropped. Consequently, the police cancelled the interrogation session.

Emerging out of the club, District Police Chief A.V. George confirmed that the questioning did not take place as the actor was found physically unfit and that the court would be informed about the development. He said the next date for questioning would be fixed depending on the fitness of the actor.
Mr. Nadirshah went straight to Renai Medicity at Palarivattom from the police club. Talking to reporters on his arrival at the hospital, the actor said the variation in pressure and sugar readings was perhaps a continuation of his recent deteriorating physical condition following which he had to spend a few days in a hospital. He was only discharged from the hospital on Sunday.
Later, he was admitted to casualty ward before being moved to a room. Hospital sources said he was found to be very “weak and unstable” and had high blood pressure and low sugar readings. No other complications were detected, they said.

The actor had filed an anticipatory bail petition before the court, which is set to consider it next week. The court had asked him to appear for questioning after the investigation team informed it that there were no immediate grounds for his arrest.
The police had subjected Mr. Nadirshah along with his close friend and actor Dileep for more than 13 hours of questioning in connection with the case a few days prior to the arrest of Dileep.
