The employees of the Instrumentations Limited led Instrumentation Workers Union (IWS) affiliated to Centre of Indian Trade Unions (CITU) and Instrumentation Employees Union (IEU) affiliated to Indian National Trade Union Congress (INTUC) have prevented two top managers who were transferred from company’s Kota unit to Palakkad unit here on Thursday.

The IEU general secretary N. Sudarshan and IWU general secretary K.A. Raveendran have said that they have prevented the Additional General Manager Rajesh Sohanai and Deputy General Manager K.K. Dev from joining the Palakkad unit to protest against the company corporate management at Kota for working against the interests of the profit making Palakkad unit of this Central public sector company.

They said that for the last many years fund from Palakkad unit was transferred to the corporate office at Kota. This has adversely affected the functioning of the Palakkad unit.

An amount of Rs.12 crore is pending to be paid to the supplies of various materials of Palakkad unit.

The company authorities have also not paid Rs.48 crore to the Provident Fund Trust so that the employees are not getting payment from PF, the Union leaders said.

On the top of all these now five high officials from Kota were transferred to Palakkad unit of which two have come to join here on Thursday. This will create more financial burden on the Palakkad unit, they said.
