Hearing in actor abduction case from next month

Preliminary hearing on the chargesheet in the woman actor rape and abduction case will begin next month. Honey M. Varghese, the CBI Special Judge, posted the case for April 4.

All the accused, except actor Dileep, were present in the court on Thursday when the court considered the case.

The woman judicial officer will hear the case as directed by the Kerala High Court after the victim in the case had approached the High Court seeking a woman judge for considering the case. The High Court had also directed speedy trial in the case.

The woman actor was allegedly abducted and raped in a moving car by the accused on February 17, 2017. The police arraigned 11 persons, including the actor as the accused in the case.
