The third phase of the Revi Karuna Karan (RKK) memorial museum will be opened by former Sri Lankan President Chandrika Bandaranaike Kumaratunga here at 6 p.m. on Sunday.

Vakkom Purushothaman, former Governor of Mizoram, and T.P. Sreenivasan, former Indian Ambassador to United Nations, will be among the dignitaries to be present.

The museum has a collection of art and artefacts collected by the family of Revi Karuna Karan, an entrepreneur and philanthropist.

The collections, made over three generations and maintained in private domain, were opened to public after Revi’s demise.

The museum was inaugurated in 2006.

With a lush green lawn and a large kidney shaped pond on one side, the museum is a splendid work of architecture. The museum, spread over 28,000 square feet, has been attracting domestic and foreign tourists.
