October 07, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:50 am IST - MALAPPURAM:

The Crime Branch police team investigating the death of K.K. Aneesh, the teacher who was expelled from Munniyoor Higher Secondary School, arrested former Deputy Director of Education (DDE) K.C. Gopi on Tuesday. He was later released on bail.

School manager V.P. Saidalavi; headmistress Sudha P. Nair; and former PTA president Haider K. Munniyoor had earlier been arrested in connection with the case. Police said three more accused were to be arrested.

Aneesh was found dead in a tourist home at Malampuzha, near Palakkad, on September 2, 2014. He was believed to have ended his life in desperation after having been expelled from service on charges allegedly fabricated by the manager and the others.
