Software for Devsawom recruitments launched

The State government decision to reserve 10% posts for the economically backward among the forward communities has won national attention, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has said.

Launching the Deva Jalika online recruitment management software for Devaswom Recruitment Board here on Wednesday, Mr. Vijayan said that the decision would not affect the quota benefits being enjoyed by other sections.

The State decision to recruit Dalit priests had won acclaim from other States, including Tamil Nadu. The new recruitment system would make the selection process transparent and efficient, he said. Devaswom Minister Kadakampally Surendran, who presided, said the new system would bring about a marked change in the recruitment.
