CPI(M) to take action against MLA

The CPI(M) State secretariat has asked the Thrissur district committee to take appropriate action against Irinjalakuda MLA K.U. Arunan, who participated in a function organised by the RSS recently.

The disciplinary action against the MLA would be decided after discussion with the area committee, CPI(M) district secretary K. Radhakrishnan said.

To honour students

The participation of the MLA at a function organised by the RSS to honour meritorious students at Oorakam had created controversy recently.

The MLA said he was not aware that the RSS had organised the event.
