Court adjourns hearing on petition seeking police protection

A Division Bench of the Kerala High Court on Thursday adjourned the hearing on a writ petition seeking to provide effective police protection to Chief Minister Oommen Chandy for his free and safe movement across the State.

The petition filed by Roshini Mohan Vettath of Panampally Nagar and two others from Kochi sought a directive to the State Police Chief and the Chief Secretary.

They also wanted action against the “illegal” protests by Left Democratic Front workers against the Chief Minister.
