The conspiracy by actor Dileep and ‘Pulsar’ Suni to sexually abuse the female actor and record it on video was hatched in 2013from a hotel room in Kochi, according to the Special Investigation Team.

In a remand report filed before the Judicial First Class Magistrate Court on Tuesday, the police said the duo gave shape to the plot to assault the actor between 2013 and 2016 and Suni was promised a reward of ₹1.5 crore to commit the crime.

According to the police, the conspiracy began from room number 410 of a prominent hotel in Kochi when the accused had stayed there between March 26 and April 7 in 2013. To back the argument, the police furnished the bills paid by the accused actor for his stay, in addition to statements by the hotel staff.

Rehearsal of mega show

The actor had been staying at the hotel in connection with the rehearsal of a mega show to be staged by the Association of Malayalam Movie Artists (AMMA) at venues abroad. To carry out the ‘quotation’, the actor had handed over an advance of ₹10,000 to Suni while inside his BMW car, which was parked at a hotel in Thrissur last year.

Besides the hotel, the accused had discussed the conspiracy at three locations, including the Thrissur Tennis Club on November 13, 2016, at CIFT Junction, Thoppumpady, on November 8, 2016, and at Thodupuzha on November 14, 2016. As per the report, Dileep had directed Suni to capture the original sensitive videos of the victim, also showing her nuptial ring in a moving car.

According to police, the actor nursed a grudge towards the victim for her involvement in the break-up of his marriage with actor Manju Warrier.

He even had an altercation with the victim during the rehearsal camp of the mega show, which drew intervention from other actors present at the spot.

While inside the prison, Suni sent a letter to Dileep with the help of Vipin Lal and Vishnu seeking the remaining amount of the contract.

Suni handed over the letter to Vishnu while being produced before the Cherthala Judicial First Class Magistrate Court on April 18.

Vishnu had collected the phone number of Appunni, Dileep’s aide, from the actor’s brother and met the former at Eloor on April 14, this year.
