Kerala Congress(B) chairman R. Balakrishna Pillai has said that he will accept only positions that will give him political freedom.
Addressing mediapersons here on Saturday, he said the offer of Cabinet rank would not tempt him.
‘‘I have not decided on the offer of the chairmanship of the Forward Communities Welfare Commission. I am not ready to take over any position that will restrict my political activities. The Cabinet rank cannot lure me. I became a Cabinet Minister in a very early age.’’

He said the entry of Ramesh Chennithala into the Ministry would be good for the ruling United Democratic Front (UDF). ‘‘There is no problem in the UDF. Discussions are on to resolve differences of opinions.’’
He said both fronts used to seek help of religious forces during elections and discard them after the elections.
