The Left Democratic Front and the United Democratic Front have shared nine seats each and the Bharatiya Janata Party won one seat in the byelections held to 19 local body divisions.
The following are the winners in municipalities and block panchayats. D. Philomina (CPI) won from Municipal Office ward in Vaikkom municipality. V.P. Rafeeq (IUML) won from Elambra in Manjeri municipality. S. Mayadevi (CPI-M) was elected from Thekkekara in Mankompu block. P.T. Abbas (IUML) was elected from Thrippanachi in Areekode block.

Manju (CPI-M) from Adichipuzha in Naranamoozhi; P.K. Sulaiman (Congress) from Parappanellikunnu in Kadangode; Geetha Aravindakshan (CPI-M) from Veembu in Nadathara; C.V. Pradeep (Congress) from Wendore West in Alagappa Nagar; M.M. Maneethan (CPI-M) from Pulipara in Kodakara; Jeeja Joy (LDF Independent) from Thesserry in Kodakara; K. Roshni Babu (UDF Independent) from Kelompadam in Vandoor; Nazeema (IUML) from Punnakode in Aliparambu; Satish Babu (CPI-M) from Pattaruparambu in Thanaloor; C.R.
