The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) alleged on Wednesday that Chief Minister Oommen Chandy and Home Minister Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan had conspired to undermine the case against 20 persons who had allegedly helped the accused in the T.P. Chandrasekharan murder case. The party smelled a rat in the acquittal of the 20 persons against the backdrop of the twist in the Opposition’s agitation over the solar scam.

The Home Department did not act though it knew that threats and inducements would be used against the witnesses in the case.
