January 08, 2019 09:04 pm | Updated 09:04 pm IST - KOCHI

The Bharat Dharma Jana Sena (BDJS) will continue to work as a constituent in the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) in the State. Party State president Thushar Vellappally made the stand of the party clear at a meeting of the alliance in Kochi on Tuesday.

The clarification comes in the wake of party support for the women’s wall organised across the State on January 1.

The front partners resolved to hold discussions on sharing of seats for contesting the upcoming Parliament election. The leaders of the front will observe fasting on January 16 in all the districts against what they termed as the police excesses. The police were arresting party workers to prevent them from attending the January 15 programme of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Kollam, they alleged.
