Road blockade

KOCHI: The Bharathiya Mazdoor Sangh will block the thoroughfares across the State on Friday declaring solidarity to the plantation workers on Friday. The Plantation Labour Committee and the State government have failed to address the issue of wage revision of the plantation workers. The civil society should come forward to support the workers, said a statement issued by M.P. Chandrasekharan, the State general secretary of the organisation.

Shortlist published

KOCHI: The shortlist of candidates who are provisionally eligible for interview for the selection to the post of Assistant in the High Court of Kerala has been published. The list is available in the websitewww.hcrecruitment.nic.inand the notice board of the High Court. The time and date of the interview would be intimated to those in the list, said a communication issued by Venu Karunakaran, Registrar (Recruitment and Computerisation) of the High Court.

State convention

KOCHI: The State convention of the All Kerala Lottery Traders Union (AITUC) will be held at Ernakulam Town Hall on October 10. K.P. Rajendran, State general secretary of AITUC will inaugurate. The convention will give shape agitations to root out corruption in the sector, said a statement issued by the union leaders.
