: Calicut University Arabic Department will hold an international seminar on ‘Arab culture, UAE heritage and translation’ on Monday and Tuesday. Several writers and dignitaries from the United Arab Emirates will make presentations at the seminar.
G. Gopakumar, Vice-Chancellor of Central University, Kasaragod, will inaugurate the seminar. K. Mohammed Basheer, Calicut University Vice-Chancellor, will preside. Mariam Al Shenasi, Emirates Publishers Association president, will present a concept note at the inaugural.
UAE writer Nasser Al Dhaheri will be honoured on the occasion. The Malayalam translation of Sharjah ruler Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi’s latest book will be released on the occasion. The Hindi translation of Mariam Al Shenasi’s book will also be released.
