The 22nd death anniversary of Vaikom Mohammed Basheer will be observed at his birthplace in Thalayolaparambu on July 5.
The third Baalyakaalasakhi Award, instituted in the name of Basheer’s magnum opus, will be presented to C. Radhakrishnan on the occasion.
The function, being organised by Vaikom Mohammed Basheer Smaraka Samithi, will be chaired by Kiliroor Radhakrishnan. Paul Manalil, vice-chairman of the Samithi, will deliver the keynote address.
