The district-level programmes in connection with the Reading Week celebrations organised by the Information and Public Relations Department in association with the P.N. Panikkar Foundation, the Education Department and the District Literacy Mission will be inaugurated by the Minister for Fisheries, J. Mercykutty Amma at a function here on June 20.
The function will be presided over by M. Noushad, MLA. N.K. Premachandran, MP, will deliver the P.N. Panikkar commemoration address and District Panchayat president K. Jagadamma will administer the literacy pledge. A seminar organised in connection with the event will be inaugurated by Mayor V. Rajendrababu, a pressnote issued here informs. — Special Correspondent.
