PG diploma in traditional architecture

The State-run Vasthu Vidya Gurukulam attached to Department of Cultural Affairs has invited applications for admission to its one-year Post-Graduate diploma course (correspondence) in traditional architecture for practicing architects and engineers.

In a statement issued here on Monday, the Gurukulam Executive Director, P.N. Suresh, said the contact classes and printed notes would be based on a scientifically prepared syllabus. The one-year PG diploma course is recognised by the Mahatma Gandhi University, he said.

The total number of seats has been fixed at 25 and the course fee at Rs. 7000, including service tax.

Selection will be strictly on the basis of an entrance test followed by an interview. Application forms and prospectus are available at the Gurukulam office for Rs. 50 or by post on Money Order for Rs. 50, favouring The Executive Director, Vasthu Vidya Gurukulam, Aranmula – 689 533 and the duly filled applications should reach the Gurukulam office on or before December 19, the statement said.
