Auditoriums in the district will henceforth be rented out only to those who agree to adhere to new terms and conditions to be put forth by the auditorium owners.

At a press conference here on Monday, the owners said that they were taking such a step because under the existing terms and conditions running an auditorium was generating big losses.

They said that since there was no support from the government side to treat solid waste generated from the auditoriums after each programme, the expense for disposing of the waste will have to be additionally borne by the person who hires the auditorium.

It has been decided that the electricity from the auditorium will not be supplied to videographers. They will either have to arrange alternative source or pay extra for getting the supply. Only commercial LPG cylinders will be permitted for all forms of cooking at the auditoriums.

If generators installed at the auditoriums are made to operate for more than 30 minutes if there is disruption of power supply, the person who hires the auditorium will have to bear the expense of the fuel. Consumption of liquor and smoking will be strictly banned at all auditoriums.

On the wedding eve there will be restriction of entry into the auditorium premises after 10 p.m.
