A march taken out by the Youth Congress on Saturday, demanding a re-post-mortem of Paul Muthoot George’s body, turned violent after the protesters tried to barge into the T.D. Medical College at Vandanam near here.
The Youth Congress alleged that the police surgeon, who conducted the post-mortem on Paul’s body on August 22, had hidden facts that could throw more light on the mystery surrounding the murder. The activists took out
the march from the Medical College Hospital to the Medical College on the adjoining campus. When they forcibly tried to cross over the security barricades, the police began a lathi-charge during which at least seven of the workers were injured. Lathi-charge notwithstanding, the activists rushed out onto the National
