In a significant shuffle of IPS officers, the government has transferred K. P. Philip, Commandant, KAP IV, and posted him as District Police Chief, Kannur, in place of Kori Sanjay Kumar Gurudin.
A press note issued here on Thursday said Assistant Inspector General of Police (Coastal Security) S. Surendran has been transferred and posted as District Police Chief, Kollam Rural, in the existing vacancy. District Police Chief, Idukki, A. V. George has been transferred and posted as District Police Chief, Ernakulam Rural, in place of P. N. Unnirajan.
Superintendent of Police (PCC), Thiruvananthapuram, J. Jayanath has been transferred and posted as District Police Chief, Kozhikode City, in place of Uma Behera. District Police Chief, Kozhikode Rural, N. Vijaykumar has been transferred and posted as District Police Chief, Thrissur Rural, in place of R. Nishanthini.

Superintendent of Police, CBCID EOW II, Kottayam, K. G. Simon has been transferred and posted as District Police Chief, Kasaragod, in place of Thomson Jose.
Superintendent of Police, SBCID, Thrissur range, M. K. Pushkaran has been transferred and posted as District Police Chief, Kozhikode Rural, in place of N. Vijayakumar.

The government has also effected transfers of police officers inducted into the IPS as per the notification of the Government of India.
Superintendent of Police, CBCID OCW IV, Kannur, B. Asokan has been transferred and posted as District Police Chief, Pathanamthitta, in place of Hari Shankar. Venugopal, who reported for duty on induction into the IPS, has been posted as District Police Chief, Idukki. Mohammed Rafeek, who reported for duty after being inducted into the IPS, has been posted as District Police Chief, Alappuzha, in place of A. Akbar.
