Kannur DCC to discuss election setback

The District Congress committee (DCC) will hold a two-day camp at Kanhirangad near Taliparamba from June 21 to evaluate the causes of the electoral performance of the party in the constituencies in the district in the Assembly election.

Announcing this, DCC president K. Surendran said in a press release here on Wednesday that the camp to be held at the Indoor Park at Kanhirangad would be attended by KPCC functionaries and members, party candidates in the Assembly election here, party block presidents and district presidents of feeder organisations.

Mr. Surendran said that activities of the party in the constituencies during the last election would be reviewed.

The camp would also discuss deficiencies, if any, in the campaign work and inconveniences experienced by party workers.

He said that the camp is being organised to rejuvenate the party machinery in the district.
