KVASU courses in entrepreneurship

: Kerala Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (KVASU) has launched new courses in entrepreneurship, feed technology and dairy cattle production during the 2016-17 academic year.

The varsity offers customised one-year entrepreneurship diploma courses in dairying and poultry production in distant mode for those who have passed SSLC examination.

There are also postgraduate diploma programmes in dairy and poultry entrepreneurship for graduates .

Diploma course

T. P. Sethumadhavan, Director of Entrepreneurship, KVASU, said the diploma course in feed technology envisaged achieving technological innovation in animal feed production, practical guidelines, training in feed processing and generating specialists in feed manufacturing techniques.

He said the distant-learning courses were based on the changing global scenario in specific areas such as food safety and security, one health, therapeutic management of animal health, ethno medicine and homoeopathy in veterinary field, disaster management, farm journalism, integrated farming systems, dairy and poultry entrepreneurship, informatics and management.
