The Kerala Congress (M) will release a master plan for the development of the State at the Kerala Developmental Convention to be held here on March 11.
Speaking to presspersons here on Tuesday, party deputy chairman C.F. Thomas, MLA, said that developmental seminars had been conducted in nearly 500 local bodies during the previous three months.
“Various suggestions and proposals that had cropped up during such discussions have been incorporated in the master plan. The State-wide programme took into consideration the recommendations of scientific experts on various issues,” he said.

The programme had focused on 10 key areas for development — sanitation, bio-agriculture, food and agriculture security, educational advancement, water conservation, protection of marginalised groups, youth welfare, infrastructure development, tourism and health security.
“A unique feature of the campaign is the knowledge common people gained through the issues in the master plan,” said Mr. Thomas.
Party chairman K.M. Mani will release the master plan during the function.

A steering committee meeting of the party will be held on the same day at the State committee office. The prime topic of discussion will be the seat-sharing exercise for the upcoming Assembly elections.
Mr. Thomas said the party's demand for 22 seats was reasonable and expressed optimism that a favourable result would be the outcome of discussions within the United Democratic Front (UDF).
Party general secretaries Joy Abraham and K. Francis George, and media cell convener Viji M. Thomas were present at the press conference.
