In order for Bengaluru-based businessman M.K. Kuruvilla to produce evidence in connection with the solar project cheating cases involving former Kerala Chief Minister Oommen Chandy, a city civil court in Bengaluru has adjourned the hearing to Februrary 4.
Mr. Kuruvilla was supposed to provide evidence in the case on Monday. However, he failed to do so. After Mr. Chandy’s advocate Joseph Anthony raised objection to the delay in producing evidence, the court granted a final chance for Mr. Kuruvilla to produce evidence on February 4.
Meanwhile, Mr. Kuruvilla’s advocate informed the court that they would not execute the earlier order, relating to the payment of over Rs.1.6 crore to Mr. Kuruvilla by Mr. Chandy and five other defendants in the case, till then.

The court had directed Mr. Chandy and five others to pay over Rs.1.6 crore, with 12% interest per annum, to Mr. Kuruvilla for failing to grant him a solar power project despite collecting advance sum from him.
Following this, Mr. Chandy had filed a miscellaneous application in the court.
