Over 300 final year students of the TKM College of Engineering, Kollam, have been selected by 44 multinational companies through campus interviews this year, breaking previous records of the college.
The number of placements, companies visited, pay package offered, and the highest average salary hit an all-time high for the college this time.
“The actual placement is almost double compared to last year and is a record in the 60-year history of this institution,” said S. Ayoob, college Principal. The placements for the 2018-19 batch began from September 2018 and will conclude by the end of May 2019.

More than 100 students received multiple job offers.
“Around 80% of the students registered with the placement cell of the college got at least one job offer with an average salary of ₹5.5 lakh. The highest offer is ₹18 lakh per annum by an internationally reputed Australian construction company,” said head of the placement cell K.A. Shafi.
The major recruiters include Amazon, Multiplex, MRF, Oracle, Ernst & Young, TCS, Infosys, Byjus, Cognizant, NISSAN, and Wipro, among others.
