Official Pakistan remained silent through Sunday to India’s charge that the social networks here were responsible for whipping up communal sentiments in India and generating panic among people from the northeast. But the Jamat ‘ud’ Da’wah (JuD) was active on Twitter, criticising India and taking jibes at Indian claims to secularism.
In one of the tweets, the JuD said: “confused, paranoid Indian Home Minister (Govt) puts the blame on Pakistan for SMS…’’. Tweeting under ‘blameitonPakistan’ hash-tag (twitter language for subject under discussion), it said: “when your communal fabric and social paradigm are chopped off by Hindutva mindset - More Pakistans in the making perhaps.’’
Of the view that it was time the world came to accept the “bleak reality of tyrant mindset that kills from Kashmir to Assam and Gujarat of course,’’ the JuD said: “Indian communal landscape will always remain fragile and minorities will continue to be vulnerable due to hegemonic, brutal mindset of Hindutva.’’

Further, the JuD found irony in the fact that this was happening around the 65th anniversary of Partition. “Irony, all this is happening on same dates of 1947. Indian Muslims still live in same fear, unfortunately. They should resist if attacked.’’ The “exodus’’ of the northeast people from Karnataka, according to the JuD, “reminds and reaffirms Pakistan’s creation was imperative, inevitable.’’
