Jayalalithaa elected AIADMK Legislature Party leader

Barnala to stake claim to form government in Tamil Nadu after she was elected the leader of the AIADMK Legislature Party on Sunday.

All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam general secretary Chief minister Jayalaithaa was on Sunday elected leader of the AIADMK Legislature Party.

She was elected by 146 newly elected MLAs of the party at a meeting held at the AIADMK headquarters here this morning, party sources said.

Ms. Jayalalithaa, who led her party to a landslide victory in the Tamil Nadu Assembly elections, later met Governor S.S. Barnala to stake her claim to form government in Tamil Nadu.
