The six Indian peacekeepers, injured in a shooting incident in Bangui, capital of Central African Republic, late last month, arrived here on Sunday from Chad, where they had been receiving treatment.
They were brought in a special French military flight. They were transferred straight from the Air Force station to the All-India Institute of Medical Sciences, where arrangements had been made by the Ministry of External Affairs to keep them under medical supervision.
The peacekeepers were received at the airport by a team of doctors and paramedics from AIIMS.

MEA officials have visited the patients and discussed their status with the doctors.
To be discharged soon
“We expect some of the six injured to be discharged in a day or two, while the remaining may be required to spend some more time at the hospital,” said MEA officials.

None of them is reported to be facing any serious medical issue at this stage.
