Indian Newspaper Society condoles Adityan’s death

The Indian Newspaper Society (INS) on Saturday paid rich tributes to one of its past presidents B. S. Adityan, who died in Chennai, recalling his immense contribution to the spread of the print media’s reach.

Recalling Mr. Adityan’s rich contribution to the growth of the print media in India, K. N. Tilak Kumar, President of the INS, said the Indian print media has lost a doyen whose contributions towards the development of the industry in the past few decades have been of immense value to the readership penetration of print media in rural India.

He said Padma Shri awardee Adityan was a past President of the INS and had served in its executive committee as a distinguished member for many years.

Mr. Adityan was also acclaimed as a sports administrator and associated with volleyball in India.

Mr. Kumar conveyed his heartfelt grievances to the family members of Mr. Adityan.
