India to focus on religious tourism, says Tourism and Culture Minister Sripad Nayak

The Indian Government will give utmost priority and importance to tourism, culture and religious tourism, Union Minister for State [Independent charge] for Tourism and Culture Sripad Nayak declared on Saturday while inaugurating the fourth three-day International Buddhist Conclave at Bodh Gaya in Bihar.

Religious tourism should not be taken as luxury tourism and it should be promoted across the State, the Minister said.
