India, Pakistan hold flag meeting

Armies of India and Pakistan held a battalion-level flag meeting in Poonch sector on Wednesday in the backdrop of numerous ceasefire violations and civilian casualties along the Line of Control (LoC).

“Indian and Pakistan armies held a battalion commander-level flag meeting at Chakan-Da-Bagh in Poonch Sector at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, in the backdrop of numerous ceasefire violations and casualties to civilian population in the past several months,” the Army said in a statement.

The Army said that the Indian team highlighted abetment and support of Pakistan Army to cross-border terrorism, sniping actions along the LoC and deliberate targeting of civilians during ceasefire violations. “The resumption of trade and transit through Chakan-Da-Bagh was also discussed,” it stated.
