I was sexually abused by brother, father, says girl

A victim of chronic sexual abuse on Wednesday informed Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister’s janata darshan that her assaulters were none other than her father and brother. The girl, who worked as a beautician here, had been enduring the trauma for the past ten years, it was revealed to the officials at Mr. Yadav’s residence. The survivor alleged that her mother was aware of her nightmarish experience, but did nothing to stop her sexual exploitation. Acting on the victim’s complaint, a case was registered under Sections 376 and 313, IPC. After her complaint was received by Lucknow District Magistrate and the SSP, the Chief Minister’s office instructed the Mahila Thana in-charge and the Circle Officer of Krishnanagar police station to take action against the accused. While the two accused were arrested, the girl’s mother has been detained by the police.
