The Orissa High Court on Wednesday asked the Central Board of Secondary Education to re-evaluate the answer sheets of students who have approached the court alleging discrepancies in Class XII results published last month.
A vacation Bench of Justice Biswanath Rath asked the CBSE authorities to re-evaluate the answer sheets engaging experts and publish results within three days, said Asim Amitav Dash, counsel for 17 students. Three other students had moved separate petitions.
Mr. Dash said all those who approached the High Court had been asked to apply for re-evaluation of their papers at the CBSE regional office at Bhubaneswar by 2 p.m. on Thursday by depositing the requisite fees.

Alleging discrepancies in the marks, many students and their parents have been protesting in front of the CBSE regional office at Bhubaneswar for over a week. While a team of CBSE officials from New Delhi last week assured to look into the matter, Board officials in Bhubaneswar on Tuesday ruled out the possibility of re-evaluation.
Finding no other alternative, some students moved the High Court while others continued their agitation. A student on Tuesday made a self-immolation attempt in front of the CBSE office in Bhubaneswar.
