Scores of Anna Hazare supporters staged a protest outside Prime Minister Manmohan Singh’s residence in New Delhi on Wednesday afternoon demanding immediate passage of the Jan Lokpal Bill, ahead of an all-party meeting.

Hoodwinking police, protesters gathered outside 7, Race Course Road residence of Dr. Singh in small groups and then re-grouped shouting slogans against the government and demanding that a strong Lokpal Bill be passed.

Police immediately swung into action and took some 50 people, including women, into a bus and then to a nearby police station.
