Germany hopeful of practical solution to language row

Commenting on the recent controversy over the teaching of German language in Kendriya Vidyalayas, German Ambassador to India, Michael Steiner, said here on Tuesday that, “After the fruitful talks between Prime Minister Modi and German Chancellor Angela Merkel, I am very confident that a practical and good solution respecting Indian laws will be found soon.”

As the matter was pending with the Supreme Court, he couldn’t say anything more at this juncture.

He was briefing the media on the upcoming Satsang with Sri Sri Ravi Shankar on the Embassy premises on November 28.
