The Delhi gang-rape case was on Thursday committed to the Sessions fast-track court where arguments on framing of charges against the five accused men in the case are expected to commence from January 21.
A magisterial court committed the case to Sessions after the scrutiny of documents filed along with the charge sheet was completed. The case will, henceforth, be heard by Additional Sessions Judge Yogesh Khanna, to whose court all cases of rape of the South and South-East Delhi districts are being transferred.
Meanwhile, V. K. Anand, counsel for main accused bus driver Ram Singh, told reporters that he was planning to move the Supreme Court in a few days seeking transfer of the trial to any other State in India except Delhi and Uttar Pradesh.

Counsel said his client was apprehensive about receiving a fair trial because of the immense media pressure that the case has witnessed.
Earlier, Metropolitan Magistrate Namrita Aggarwal, had ordered in-camera proceedings in the case and restrained the media from reporting on the court proceedings. Defence counsel M. L. Sharma, V. K. Anand, Vivek Sharma and A. P. Singh told reporters outside the court that they had also received the e-challan copy of the charge sheet and all the documents related to the case had also been supplied to them.

The five accused persons — bus driver Ram Singh, his brother Mukesh, Vinay Sharma, Pawan Gupta and Akshay Singh — were also produced from the Tihar Central Jail for the hearing on Thursday.
