Vice-Chancellor of B.S. Abdur Rahman University J.A.K. Tareen has joined the Aam Aadmi Party. The 67-year-old educationist, a Padma Shri recipient, said it was his increasing frustration over the government’s failure to implement education-related policies that drove him to join the new party.
Professor Tareen was a member of the UGC, and the Vice-Chancellor of Pondicherry University and two universities in Kashmir.
