Child rape survivor: SC informed of DNA mismatch

The Supreme Court was informed on Friday told that the DNA of the child that a10-year-old rape survivor gave birth to did not match that of the accused. This was conveyed to the court by the member secretary of the Chandigarh Legal Services Authority. The Bench led by Justice Madan B. Lokur was also infomed that the police has arrested another person in the case and fresh DNA samples have been sent for forensic examination at two different laboratories.
