2 security personnel injured in Maoist attacks in Chhattisgarh

Pankuj Thakur, a constable of the 13 battalion of the Chhattisgarh Armed Force and Kichche Soya, an Auxiliary constable are undergoing treatment.

A jawan of the Chhattisgarh Armed Force (CAF) and a ‘Sahayak Arakshak (Auxiliary constable) were injured in two Maoist attacks in Bastar region of Chhattisgarh on Tuesday.

 

Pankuj Thakur, a constable of the 13 battalion of the CAF was injured when a pressure bomb planted by Maoists exploded near Murdonda village of Bijapur, said the police.

The injured Jawan was posted in Awapalli police station and is said to be out of danger now.

In another incident, suspected Maoists attacked  'Sayakak Arakshak' Kichche Soya with sharp weapons at a market place in Pollamapalli village of Sukma.

 

The injured 'Sahayak Arakashak' has been referred to Jagadalpur for treatment.

 

Maoist Camp busted

 

 In a separate incident, a joint team of Dantewada and Bijapur police busted a Maoist camp in Hurrepal forest of Danteada.

 

Police also recovered Maoist posters, banners and material used to manufacture guns.

 

Three Maoists surrender

 

Three Maoists surrendered before police in Dornapal town of Sukma district on Tuesday.

 

Madkam Sukka(28),Padam Ayata (35) and Kichche Ayata (36) surrendered before Dornapal SDPO (Sub Divisional Police Officer) and CRPF officers today, informed Sukma district Additional Superintendent of Police(ASP) Santosh Singh.

 

Mr.Singh also informed that all three had offenses registered against them in Pollampalli police station and carried a reward of Rs.5000 each.
