6 CRPF men injured as militants strike near Srinagar

The attack comes just a day after a policeman was killed and 11 others were injured in a grenade attack by militants in Srinagar's Nowhatta area.

Preliminary reports suggest that gunshots were heard at Pantha Chowk.

The Hindu they heard heavy exchange of fire in the area around 3:30 p.m. Both the police and the CRPF were not confirming any casualties.
