Army officer, 3 others arrested in graft case

A Colonel was arrested by the CBI for allegedly taking a bribe of ₹50,000 from a Pune-based private company for supply of rock splitting equipment.

The agency also arrested three officials of the company. Col. Shaibal Kumar posted in Planning and Engineering branch of the Kolkata-based Army’s Eastern Command, Sharat Nath, Pune-based Xtech Equipment Pvt Ltd. MD, Vijay Naidu, a director in a company and Amit Roy, a company offical were arrested.
